**Your Purpose**
Reporting to the Director, Strategic Partnerships, the Project Manager & Partnerships Liaison is dedicated to relationship development and management, project management and timely reporting of the projects funded through the Foundation’s strategic partnerships portfolio. This position will provide direct oversight of strategic partnerships within this portfolio and will ensure continuity of information, management of scope, timeline review, and reporting.
The Project Manager & Partnerships Liaison will work to build relationships and engage interested parties within the health and life sciences ecosystem through the creation of detailed development plans for projects, and play a key role in the progress and success of current and existing partnerships aligned to the priorities of the Foundation which include but are not limited to the Head and Heart Campaign and Preventative and Primary Care. They will support relationship longevity of current partnerships and identify business development opportunities, supporting the Director, Strategic Partnerships and Chief Catalyst, Strategic Marketing and Alliances.
They will develop and oversee budgets, steward data management processes and structures, and, work in collaboration with the Foundation’s Donor Funds and Finance Teams, to monitor distribute and report on all finances associated with the initiatives.
**Your Role**
Strategic Partnerships Project Management
- Build a project plan that defines scope, objectives, schedule, reporting requirements and budget and manage changes for each partnership, following project management best practices.
- Work in collaboration with the Foundation’s team and external interested parties to ensure the projects within the partnership agreement are delivered on time, within budget and within scope.
- Create meeting agendas and track actions from steering committees, and working group meetings.
- Ensure all relevant interested parties, internal and external to Foundation, are informed and engaged in the progress of the project.
- Ensure resources required for the partnerships and associated project are available and allocated appropriately and efficiently.
- In collaboration with the Director, Strategic Partnerships, establish a communication plan and regularly report on progress and impact as required.
- Report and escalate project issues or challenges to the Director, Strategic Partnerships as required.
- Maintain and update partner / project records, files, and documentation.
- Evaluate projects annually and upon completion to ensure lessons learned are captured with broad input.
- Work with Foundation’s marketing team to ensure announcements, website updates and impact reports are completed and communicated.
Business Development and Partnership Liaison
- Identify potential partners and complete appropriate research on their business and highlight their needs.
- Develop and maintain partner relationships and support the Director, Strategic Partnerships in formalizing agreements and partner communications.
- Collect necessary paperwork from partner organizations upon agreement.
- Liaise with the external funders of the partnerships (government and industry) to ensure all expectations of the project, including reporting, are fulfilled.
- Work with Director, Strategic Partnerships to identify linkages with the health and life sciences ecosystem i.e: University of Alberta Hospital site, the University of Alberta and the Government of Alberta, build connections with primary investigators, industry partners and in the community.
- Provide meeting opportunities and linkages between industry and researchers/clinicians etc.
- Support the Director, Strategic Partnerships in business development activities when and where identified.
Compliance & Reporting
- In collaboration with Foundation funding team, manage agreements with reporting back to the Foundation from researchers.
- Perform risk management to minimize or eliminate risks associated with the project.
- Manage Government reporting for the partnership.
- Contract review and management.
Project Management Coordination
- Manage information electronically, maintain accurate records, and submit regular reports.
