**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds labourer worker to join our team until late November. This role involves working outdoors to assist in various gardening and landscaping tasks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. The Grounds labourer will be responsible for maintaining landscapes, utilizing hand and power tools, and contributing to the overall success of our projects.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure adherence to holistic and sustainable practices
- Maintain lawn including mow, trimming, lay sod (if needed) and fertilizing
- Help with pest and weed management with the use of no pesticides and herbicides
- Operate the following machinery: ride on lawn mowers, push mowers, trimmers and blowers, truck and trailer
- Assisting to help service, maintain and trouble shoot mechanical equipment
- Maintain water features
- Assist with irrigation system
- Assist with planting of annuals and perennials
- Snow and ice removal from walkways and driveways (if needed)
- Care for ornamental and native trees
- Plant trees and shrubs
- Remove trees, haul away logs and split wood
- Weeding all gardens and areas needed
- Amending soil when needed
- Watering pots, urns and gardens as directed
- Detail vehicles and equipment
- Maintain a clean environment in the shop and kitchen area
- Decorate for seasons
- Maintain constructive relationships with coworkers
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements** To meet the challenges of this role, the incumbent must be energetic, able to work well under mínimal supervision, and have a positive can-do attitude. Other requirements include:

- Ability to lift 80 lbs
- Provide own transportation
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Ability to walk for 8 hours, bend, and perform repetitive motions
- Must be adaptable, flexible, and function effectively in a team environment
- Great communication skills both verbally and written
- Irrigation and mechanical knowledge would be considered an asset
- Possess a strong work ethic
- Occasional weekend and holiday shifts will be required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
