Iron Technician

**JC Inspection and Valve Service** is hiring a **full-time Iron Technician** for our **Red Deer, Alberta** location. This position is suited for individuals with hands-on mechanical experience in the valve and pressure control industry who are committed to safe work practices and high-quality service delivery in both shop and field environments.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Valve service, maintenance, teardown, and assembly of various styles of valves
- Disassembly and assembly of iron and pressure control components
- Operation of service units and pressure control equipment (including hydro pumps)
- Use of hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner
- Field service work as required
- Troubleshooting mechanical and service-related issues
- Clear and effective communication with team members and supervisors
- General shop duties and maintenance as required
- Adherence to all company safety policies and procedures
- Previous experience in the valve and/or pressure control industry (minimum 3 years experience is an asset)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- A valid driver’s license
- Safety tickets including H2S, First Aid, and CSO (assets)
- Ability to work overtime when required
- Ability to work away from home for extended periods as needed
