Position Description:
We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Systems Administrator to join our team, preferably in the Ottawa region.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Monitor and Diagnose system resource and performance issues
- Maintaining and balancing the load on the server
- Control over the servers via WHM/cPanel
- Configure and define parameters for installation or testing of local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), hubs, routers, switches, controllers
- Install and configure Linux servers in the network per specifications of clients
- Monitor the servers and Linux scripts regularly and perform troubleshooting steps
- Test and install the latest software on server for end-users
- Perform routine checks on the Linux servers
- Maintain necessary back-up of the important files and document Linux scripts for future reference
- Maintain servers on AWS

**Must Have Skills**:

- Unix/Linux,
- Salt/Ansible,
- Bash,
- Jenkins, and
- AWS/VMWare/Cisco
- Experience with Configuration Management tools including: Puppet, Salt, Ansible, and Chef
- Knowledge and experience working with Linux, Microsoft, VMware operating systems
- 2 years of experience in languages including: Python, Go, C/C++, and Java
- Understanding of continuous Integration/Delivery, Agile Methodologies, Scrum, and Build and Release
- Previous experience working on federal government projects including holding a Government of Canada Security Clearance (Secret level)

**Preferred Skills**:

- Previous experience with BMC Software platforms

- Maintains composure during all types of situations and is collaborative by nature
- High standards of professionalism, consistently producing high quality results

- Demonstrate flexibility and openness to bring creative solutions to address issues
