Textile Dyer

Spinrite is the largest craft yarn and sewing thread company in North America. As an industry leader focused on driving growth and execution excellence, we are looking for a Textile Dyer to join our growing Manufacturing team.

Reporting to the Supervisor, this individual will be responsible for the dyeing of production loads, ensuring that formulas are followed with precision and great care is taken to achieving consistent results. This position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all loads have been counted and weighed.
- Ensure all machines are clean before dyeing.
- Ensure all shades have been approved before removing load from machine.
- Ensure all cottons are bleached and scoured before dyeing.
- Ability to run up to five variegated machines and to load/unload machines.
- Responsible for dyeing acrylics, cottons and wools.
- Responsible for retrieving chemicals and adding to dye bath according to formula.
- Responsible for premixing dyes in boil-up room.
- Ensure all shades have been approved before removing load from machine.
- Employee will complete training on all dye machines and will be assigned according to production needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Weekend work may be required.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be willing to train on different dyeing machines.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Ability to work and cross train in a team environment.
- Strong math and science skills would be an asset
- Effective Problem-Solving Skills.
- A good eye for colour
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
