Group Services Program Supervisor

**Job Duties**:

- Manage a team of Program Coordinators, provide mentoring, support, training and feedback as needed
- Oversee the planning and implementation of public programming, tours, public events, and corporate group programming including budgeting and logístical planning
- Manage and deliver ecotourism programs, corporate programs and speciality public programs with assistance from the Program Coordinators
- Develop and deliver staff and volunteer training related to all programs, and training for evenings and weekends in collaboration with the Volunteer Manager and Education department
- Develop and implement a marketing plan in collaboration with the Visitor Experience Manager and Communications & Brand Manager
- Manage current relationships with our key tour partners and destination management companies, and develop new relationships
- Collaborate with the Director of Philanthropy on fundraising, business and service enhancement strategies and implementation to grow and sustain FWA’s overall funding
- Collaborate with the Director of Philanthropy on writing grant proposals, tracking deliverables and providing information for reporting requirements
- Maintain and purchase programming equipment. This includes, but is not limited to canoes, kayaks, bikes and a 20-passenger tour bus
- Initiate, maintain and oversee partnerships with companies, private and public groups and associations to increase visitation at FWA
- Evaluate and report on program development, implementation, and revenues of the ecotourism and corporate programs on an ongoing basis to the Executive Team
- Develop and manage new and ongoing external relationships with business, community, and educational client organizations to attract more business
- Sustaining and growing FWA’s programming supporting community mental wellness

**Qualifications**:

- Environmental Science, Tourism, or History education, or relevant experience
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission
- Program development, implementation and evaluation experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective and positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to lead direct reports
- Strong problem-solving, organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with varied groups including children, youth, families and other diverse groups
- Knowledge of Manitoba flora and fauna, Manitoba ecosystems and emerging environmental issues, an asset
- Certification in First Aid and CPR, an asset
- Class 4 license or ability to get is required
