**Summary**:
We are recruiting for an **Application Specialist (Sales) Co-op Student**on our Valves & Actuation Inside Sales team in Burnaby, BC. Reporting to the Manager, Application Specialists, this is an excellent opportunity to hone your customer service skills and expand your knowledge of the process control industry.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Assist Application Specialist team in generating quotations and proposals for small pursuits and large-scale international projects
- Respond to incoming customer inquiries for technical information and quotations
- Evaluate process requirements and budgets to develop technical solutions
- Use Spartan’s business system to size and select equipment and generate quotations and proposals

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Enrollment in Post-Secondary education program in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering
- Proficient with MS Office programs; Word, Power Point, Excel
- Strong technical problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated customer service and/or sales skills
- Ability to develop and foster relationships with coworkers and customers
- Customer-centric mindset and collaborative team player
- Excellent communication, planning, scheduling, prioritization, and time management skills
- High degree of dependability and reliability
- Detail oriented
- Entrepreneurial work ethic
