**Position Overview**:
This full-time position combines the essential roles of Treatment Coordinator and Dental Assistant. You will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient care and efficient administrative coordination. The position includes one Saturday per month.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Treatment Coordination**:

- Engage with patients to clearly explain oral surgery procedures and post-operative care.
- Coordinate complex cases with referring offices, hospitals, and other medical practitioners to ensure comprehensive care.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, optimizing clinic efficiency.
- Verify and pre-authorize insurance coverage, manage patient payments, and maintain accurate and organized records.
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients and families, offering support and addressing any questions.
- **Dental Assisting**:

- Assist during oral surgery procedures, including those under local anaesthesia, sedation, general anaesthesia and at the hospital.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment is properly sterilized and ready for use.
- Provide chairside assistance to the surgeon during oral surgery and support during peri-operative care.
- Welcome and prepare patients for surgery, ensuring they are comfortable and fully understand the process.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) with a valid license in BC.
- Excellent patient service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour.
- Strong communication skills, fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a dental office is required.
- Proficiency in dental software and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Energetic and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment.
- Experience assisting with intravenous sedation is a valuable asset. (CDAAC, OMAAP or DAANCE)
