**Overnight House Person/Laundry Attendant**

Residence Inn by Marriott Halifax Downtown is seeking an experienced Overnight House Person/Laundry Attendant for their busy hotel Compensation is based on experience. Must have open availability, including nights and weekends.

Essential Job Functions

Laundry Attendants need be passionate about providing our guests with the highest standard of guest care. This position requires individuals who are personable, enthusiastic, who go above and beyond every day and are willing to be our guests constant caring friend.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
- Ensure that hotel linens are laundered and cared for in accordance with hotel standards.
- Must be a team player and help to create a positive work environment.
- Great time management and organizational skills a must.
- Ability to work with no supervision.
- Aware of security for assigned areas.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Maintaining the Laundry room, washing, drying, folding laundry
- Respond to guest requests, concerns and complaints quickly and efficiently.
- Ensure that public areas (ie. Lobby, Gym, Pool) and back of house areas meet hotel standards of cleanliness to assure guest satisfaction.
- Wash doors, windows, walls of public areas and guest rooms
- Clean guestrooms when required - making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning, and sanitizing all surfaces.
- Clean bathrooms: cleaning all surfaces, sinks, taps, vanities, mirrors, tubs, showers and walls and toilets.
- Keep work area stocked, organized and clean.
- Ensure work areas and equipment are always kept functional and in order. Report all deficiencies.
- Handle and report lost and found items.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Senior Management team

**Salary**: $1.00-$2.00 per hour
