**Development Jumbo Miner**

Alamos Gold’s **Young-Davidson** is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada’s largest underground gold mines. It is located near the town of Matachewan centrally located between Timmins, Kirkland Lake, North Bay and Sudbury, Ontario. The 2020 completion of a highly automated, lower mine expansion has resulted in Young-Davidson increasing production and generating strong free cash flow. With a large Mineral Reserve base, it will serve as Alamos’ foundation for growth for many years to come. **Primary Responsibilities**:

- Scaling and doing pre-operation inspection of work site
- Filling 5 point card and maintain accurate operating records, including daily work reports
- Prepare face for jumbo drilling
- Mark face for jumbo drilling
- Drill development rounds, slashes, back-slashes, benches, safety baies etc
- Load development rounds
- Install ground support using the Jumbo Drill
- Install ground support occasionally using a Maclean Bolter or handheld drills
- Install and/or repair mine services (Air/Water/Pumping, vent. duct, jumbo cable)
- Muck development rounds
- Dewatering pumps installation
- Contribute to and establish effective workplace relationships- Provide face status update to relevant people at the end of shift (supervisor and coworkers)
- Provide support to services/loading crews when required
- Provide support to rest of development crew (including coaching and mentorship)
- All other tasks as directed by supervisor

**Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience**:

- 5 years experience in underground mining,
- Equipment qualifications required:
- Scooptram
- Toyota
- Forklift/tractor
- Jackleg and Stoper drilling
- Scissordeck
- Maclean Bolter
- Jumbo Drill
- Anfo Loader

**Schedule**: 10-hour shifts following a 5/5/4 rotation
