Our classes have 4 age groups: Little Kicks (18 months - 2.5 years), Junior Kickers (2.5 - 3.5 years), Mighty Kickers (3.5 - 5 years), and Mega Kickers (5 - 7 years) classes run back to back with short breaks in between. Little Kickers runs year - round, moving classes indoors from October to the end of April and outdoors from May to the end of September.

**What we are looking for**:
We are seeking a dedicated Head Coach who will play a pivotal role in our coaching team, ensuring the successful implementation of our soccer program while maintaining high standards of coaching excellence.

**Responsibilities**:
Participate in coach training sessions and ongoing professional development throughout the year.

Distribute equipment and player uniforms to coaches as needed

Conduct on-site coach evaluations, providing constructive feedback and identifying equipment, training and uniform needs.

Maintain regular communication with the Head Coach and Regional Manager, providing updates on staffing, evaluations, and program issues.

Cover coaching shifts as required.

Respond promptly to emergency situations during sessions.

Ensure accurate completion of weekly attendance trackers for all program areas, reporting to the Regional Manager upon completion.

**Additional Duties**:
Collaborate with other Head Coaches to enhance program quality and effectiveness.

Support new coach onboarding and training initiatives.

Foster a positive and inclusive environment for both coaches, players, and parents.

Assist in program development and planning for future seasons.

Be able to travel between Calgary and Edmonton when required

**Qualifications**:
Previous coaching experience with young children (ages 18 months to 7 years) is preferred

Strong organizational and leadership skills

A degree in Education, Sports Management, Physical Education, Sports Study, or a relevant degree is an asset but not mandatory

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment at home (work from home), in the office (when required), and on the field

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Passion for youth development through sports and recreation

Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle

Valid coaching certifications or willingness to obtain (e.g., NCCP, First Aid/CPR)

Must be 18+

**Work Schedule and Compensation**:
The majority of duties are during regular weekday and weekend shifts

**Job Type**: Part-time, possibility for full time hours

**Pay**: From $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 hours or more per week *Subject to change to full-time

Additional pay: Bonus pay through performance reviews & Overtime pay
