**Civil Project Superintendent

Emil Anderson Construction (EAC) Inc. is seeking **experienced Civil Project Superintendents** to join our team. These persons would be based out of the **Okanagan** or the **Fraser Valley** area, but will be required to travel for work projects.

**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Superintendent is on-site providing daily leadership and direction of our civil construction projects.

**Primary accountabilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Primary site representative for the organization, responsible for all site level client, public, labour and subcontractor interface;
- Leadership of day-to-day on-site activities;
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with contract requirements and specifications;
- Effectively implementing project plans including site safety plan, quality plan, environmental plan, and traffic management plan;
- Scheduling, planning and resource allocation on the project, ensuring project plans are followed;
- Ensuring daily, weekly and monthly reporting is completed in an accurate and timely manner;
- Advising the Project Manager of any changed conditions encountered on the site and suggesting appropriate course of action;
- Continual optimization of all works to enhance safety, profitability, and quality;
- Coordinating labour and equipment requirements with the General Superintendent;
- Coordinating equipment servicing and repairs with mechanical operations;
- Following collective agreement requirements, and coordinating with union business agents.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of experience working in the construction industry
- 5+ years of experience in a supervisory position
- Experience with difficult access grading and rock work
- Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
- Multi-discipline bridge experience an asset
- Gold Seal Certification is an asset

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
