**About the role**:
The Manager, Medical Services (MS) QH&S Compliance provides support to the MS Management Team for the direction, coordination and functioning of all QH&S matters in the Country. This will involve defining and implementing the required monitoring systems for each area that identifies risk and enables a risk management approach to CQI. This is achieved through established systems of monitoring compliance with the Integrated Management System (Quality & OH&S), identifying deficiencies and evaluating and minimising their potential impact on the organization. This will ensure the country remains in a state of compliance with all relevant internal management systems and regulatory requirements while ensuring risks are well controlled.
**This is a full-time hybrid 8:30 am until 4:30 pm position. Mon/Fri are work from home; Tues, Wed, Thurs are in office at our Leduc location.**
**Key responsibilities**:
- Foster a safety-first culture that protects personnel and drives operational efficiency.
- Oversee service delivery quality across Canada by ensuring:
- There is a full knowledge of each contract’s Scope of Work (SOW).
- Procedures and staffing are aligned with contract requirements.
- Quality control measures are in place to ensure compliance.
- New contracts are mobilised in line with SOW and International SOS standards.
- Ensure implementation and compliance with all applicable standards including:
- Medical Service Centre standards,
- Facility standards
- Transport standards
- Clinical Governance in Medical Service
- Fire & Rescue standards
- Local and project-specific jurisdictional standards
- Lead performance and quality improvement initiatives:
- Develop and report on regional KPIs.
- Implement CQI plans and support risk management strategies.
- Conduct incident reviews and contribute to audit analyses.
- Represent Medical Services in key governance activities:
- Participate in management teams, regional committees, and workgroups.
- Contribute to document development and standard reviews.
- Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to Medical Services staff:
- Deliver educational sessions.
- Support onboarding and induction aligned with standards.
- Manage the Annual Audit Program:
- Ensure alignment with QMS Audit Cycle.
- Submit audit plans, conduct audits, and maintain records.
- Track high-risk non-conformances and corrective actions.
- Support external audits and certification processes:
- Assist with audit planning.
- Maintain certification readiness across facilities and sites.
- Fulfill administrative and compliance duties:
- Act as Document Controller for Canada.
- Liaise with the Privacy team on compliance and data access.
- Support ESG initiatives, policy development, and government reporting.
- Manage contractor prequalification platforms (e.g., ISN, ComplyWorks).
- Uphold EEO, OH&S, and workplace safety standards.
- Complete special projects or other assigned duties.
**About you**:
- The person who holds this position will be required to not only work within a team, but is responsible for establishing and nurturing a team environment that facilitates smooth project delivery.
- The ability to solve problems and make concise and informed decisions is essential.
- A collaborative and confident personality will assist in facilitating your ability to interact with all key personnel thereby ensuring the effective delivery of contract requirements.
- Strong knowledge of applicable Environmental and Health & Safety regulatory requirements.
**Required Competencies**
- Advanced skills and significant experience in Integrated Safety Management System practices and processes.
- Ability to work independently, pay careful attention to detail, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyse situations and take appropriate action consistent with company policies.
- Previous experience with ISO 9001:2015 and 45001:2018 and implementation of management systems.
- Demonstrated experience in document control and development of procedures, reports tools and templates.
**Required Work Experience**
- 5+ years of occupational health and safety experience preferably in an industrial environment with a significant vehicle fleet
- Experience in development and implementation of standards
- Significant experience in overseeing Document Control systems
**Required Qualifications**
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation - strong asset.
