**Forbes Bros Ltd.** is seeking an experienced **Civil Pipelayer (full-time)** to support the **FB Bullet team** in shallow utility construction operations in lower mainland and **Surrey, BC.**

All FB Bullet staff will report to the main office in Surrey and travel to work sites with their designated crews in company vehicles. The _Civil Pipelayer_ will be responsible for the preparation, assembly and installation of pipelines as required in accordance with project specifications and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Able to: interpret, read, and understand blueprints, specifications, schedules, and costing reports
- Assist in aligning pipes to prepare for welding, cementing, or sealing, as per project specifications
- Monitors backfill of pipe bedding to ensure proper haunch support
- Mix, pour and spread materials
- Pave and rake asphalt as per specifications
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
- Level earth to fine grade specifications
- General cleanup and removal of; chemical spills, contaminants, rubble and debris, and pile salvaged material
- Other tasks and duties as assigned
- Prior experience with bedding, pipe support and understanding and directing backfill, **_is required_**:

- Minimum one (1) year experience in civil construction and/or underground utilities, **_is required_**:

- Valid Drivers License,**_ is required_**:

- Adequate knowledge in shoring/sloping requirements for safe trench entries, _is strongly preferred_
- Experience installing shallow utilities (hydro, telecom, cable, fiber) and/or electrical ducts/conduits, _an asset_
- Knowledge of operating laser level and locate equipment, _an asset_
- Valid Safety Certifications including but not limited to: Ground Disturbance, First Aid, H2S Alive, _an asset_
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, dynamic team environment
- Ability to recognize site hazards and implement hierarchy of controls to eliminate hazards with crew members
