- We are looking for part-time and casual, compassionate, and committed Personal Support Workers to start immediately in Ottawa. We are providing temporary staffing assignments to hospitals, long-term facilities, and retirement homes.
- **Duties and Responsibilities**:

- The PSW is responsible for assisting with direct patient care within the scope of their practice as well as other work on the unit which supports the patient environment. The PSW assists staff to ensure optimal patient care and assists the healthcare team to provide and maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for patients. The duties or responsibilities of the PSW include the components of direct patient care, nutrition, observation, documentation, transportation of patients and supplies, and general maintenance of the patient environment.
- **Minimum Requirements**:

- PSW Certificate from an accredited community college or equivalent (or a Nursing student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program who has completed 50% of required coursework)
- Working knowledge of spoken and written English and ability to take direction from appropriate professional Hospital employees
- Sound organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work well under stress
- Recent basic cardiac life support certificate (within the last year)
- Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella
- Hepatitis B vaccine and flu shot
- N95 mask fit test certificate
- Must have flexibility in work schedule, days, evenings and weekends
- Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with other staff members
- Possess a compassionate, patient, and caring nature with a client-focused approach
- Additional related training and education a definite asset
- Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Part-time hours: 20-40 per week** 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift

**Experience**:

- PSW: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:

- PSW Certification (required)
- Mask fit test certificate (required)
- CPR (required)
- Vulnerable Sector Check (required)
- Medical Clearance (required)

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
