**Job description**:
Reporting directly to the Production supervisor, the Tool room attendant is responsible for preparing and managing the tools required for the jobs to be processed in the shop.

**Tool room**:

- Manage the tool room
- Purchase new tools and keep inventory level as per company needs
- Organize and maintain the Tool room as per 5S principles
- Create locations for new tooling, and record data in the electronic inventory control system.
- Prepare and hand out tools as per set up sheets and machinists request
- Keep a log for issuing and the return of all tools
- Keep a log of fixtures that were issued and place them back in the proper space
- Grind tools when needed.
- Place returned cutters in the designated area, so they are easily found for next set up
- Keep everything in organized and labeled, and manage the inventory in the ERP
- Other duties assigned by supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- Professional degree in CNC Machining is an asset
- 2 years technical experience within a related industry (Machining, Aerospace, medical etc.) is an asset
- Self motivated and goal oriented
- Organized and detail oriented
- Ability to understand technical drawings related to metal working
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Strong spoken and written communication skills

Monday to Friday 6:00am to 2:15pm
