We are looking for someone to join our small and dedicated team that takes pride in offering excellent services to our independent seniors. This is a four days on four days off rotation.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- responds immediately and appropriately to all resident emergencies
- has overall responsibility for staff, building, safety and well-being of residents while on shift
- oversees and participates in service delivery in the Dining Room for the evening meal in conjunction with kitchen staff and the Full Time Evening Manager
- supervises meal service employees
- monitors the well-being of all residents
- monitors the use of the Emergency Response System in the building while on shift
- conducts regular security checks
- assists with various word processing and office routines
- receives and secures financial and other paperwork from residents on behalf of the House Manager
- hosts social programming as planned by the Full Time Evening Manager
- acquires and maintains a working knowledge of building systems and procedures
- develops and supports a sense of community within the building
- communicates regularly with the House Manager
- assists with common area cleaning and laundry services
- maintains resident and staff confidentiality
- ensures dining room operation adheres to government regulations and Food Safe practices
- performs all work within the standards and philosophy of Nova Pacific Care Inc which provides the services for Stevenson Place
- **Qualifications**

**Specific**:

- Grade 12 graduate
- Dining Room management experience
- Food Safe - Level 1
- Willing to learn about building systems
- Current First Aid - Emergency FA Community Care or equivalent
- Working knowledge of computers and word processing

This is a union position with regular salary increments.
- **Hours & Days of Work**_:
This position utilizes a four days on four days off rotation and includes weekends and stat holidays as schedule predicts.

4 pm - 11 pm

**Salary**: $24.21 - $25.28 per hour

Required experience:

- Dining Room: 2 years
- Ability to take direction and supervise staff

**Job Type**: Temporary
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $24.21-$25.28 per hour

Expected hours: 28 per week

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
