Job purpose

The Packaging Specialist is responsible for assuring that packaging material comply with their

specifications. The Packaging Specialist manages all aspects of documentation, risk assessment, changes

and personnel training related to the packaging aspects.

The packaging specialist reports to the QA & RA Director.

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Establish the quality standard for packaging specifications and operates to maintain a state of control.

2.Draw specifications of packaging components based on specifications of the suppliers in accordance

with Good Manufacturing and Documentary Practices.

4. Ensure appropriate storage of packaging materials and labels.

5. Establish critical features for the packaging material related to product’s filling process.

6.Perform risk assessment.

7.Perform the evaluation (selection, analyze and approval) of the packaging materials for new

projects.

8.Audit suppliers for compliance with established specifications.

9.Report any non-conformity to Quality Assurance department.

10.Ensure packaging materials used for manufacturing comply with quality standards.

11. Initiate investigation of any non-conformity, analyze root cause and implement CAPA.

12.Prepare documentation and assist during internal and external audits.

13. Perform employees training for new positions within the Packaging team.

14. Any other duties assigned by the QA Director.

Qualifications:

- University graduate or equivalent with a science background or similar domain.
- Work experience in science, pharma or cosmetic manufacturing facility.

**Skills**:

- Good communication skills, oral and written (French and/or English);
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills;
- Professional judgment;
- Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills;
- Ability to work under mínimal supervision and meet tight deadlines;
- Sustained skills in coaching, influencing and promoting best practices in compliance

enforcement in a work team;
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical/cosmetic manufacturing and packaging technologies;
- Applied knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
