**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Digital Solutions Manager, the Business Analyst plays an integral role in the success of our organization. Responsibilities include overseeing project management and business analysis of improvement initiatives, working collaboratively with our EA team to ensure that business requirements are gathered, solutions are determined and developed, and that projects are executed in accordance with IT / EA principles. The Business Analyst will act as the go-between for IT / EA and the business, managing the full lifecycle of project improvement initiatives, including change management activities.

**As a Business Analyst at Graham, you will**:
Coordinate business requirements with IT responsibilities, including acting as a primary contact or go-between for the IT / EA department and the business.
Listen to and collaborate with the business to understand and document functional and non-functional business requirements, ensuring that business goals are aligned with project objectives.
Communicate diplomatically and respectfully when conducting business analysis and managing projects to encourage understanding and collaboration among colleagues.
Set reasonable expectations and communicate business requirements to the IT team.
Work collaboratively with the EA team to explain the business requirements so a solution can be determined and developed.
Create and maintain documentation such as user stories, use cases, and functional specifications that clearly outline project requirements.
Manage full life cycle of project improvement initiatives, ensuring that deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
Perform data analysis and make recommendations for process improvements, utilizing your analytical skills to identify trends and patterns in large data sets.
Develop project and change management plans for improvement initiatives.
Follow change management standards and processes for implementation of improvement initiatives, ensuring that projects are executed in accordance with industry best practices.
Support Process Improvement Councils as required.
Coordinate end-user acceptance testing of improvement initiatives, ensuring that feedback is incorporated into project outcomes.
Work with the development team to prioritize and resolve defects.
Manage issues related to improvement initiatives and escalate as necessary, ensuring that roadblocks are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
Perform close-out of initiatives to ensure business value is achieved.
Comply with privacy legislation and maintain confidentiality when handling confidential and/or sensitive data.

**Qualifications/Experience**:
Degree in Business or a related field.
PMI and IIBA certification would be considered assets/
3-5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role or similar experience.
Experience working within a mid-to-large sized organization.
Experience translating business requirements into workable solutions.
Experience working in project management and under a PMO structure.
Ability to build strong business relationships, active listening skills, and empathy for client issues.
Experience in testing and quality assurance.
Proficiency in Excel and project management tools, SQL is an asset.
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
Ability to ensure all privacy legislation requirements are followed.
