Job shadowing Senior Technicians’ daily activities and hands-on training will be provided for this role. We are looking for dedicated talent who are "willing to get their hands dirty" and are committed to learning industry best practices from on-site mentors. The Technology Trainee will demonstrate the ability to think outside of the box and will exhibit strong professionalism, communication, and collaboration. Coordination and communication with the Senior Technicians are critical to the success of this position. This position may require weekend/night shifts and occasional out-of-town travel. As a Technology Trainee, you will gain first-hand experience working in a variety of areas such as Datacom, Audio Visual, and Security Systems. **Responsibilities** - Pulling trade-specific cabling as directed by Site Leads - Installation of different cable support structures - Basic installation of associated field devices to Paladin standards - Staging materials to improve efficiency - Clean up at the end of the day, making sure all cables are neatly coiled throughout the job site, tools clean and put away - Keeping the job site clean - Assist on some of our larger installations - Travel to client sites on a required basis - Other duties as required **Qualifications** - Must be bondable and able to pass a background check - Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract and no restrictions is preferred - High School Diploma is required or an Associate Degree/Certificate in a related field is preferred - Physical demands: - Comfortable working at heights - Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds - Ability to be on your feet and walking for a majority of the day - Lift and carry tools, ladders, hand tools, materials - Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction sites to finished corporate offices - Power/Hand tool experience is preferred **Success Factors** Adaptability: Quickly adapt to deliver desired outcomes for our clients Accountability: Own your work from start to finish Service Orientation: Strive to exceed customer expectations Innovation: Always look for new ways to add value Technical knowledge: constantly build your skill set and demonstrate your abilities **Why Join Us?** - Hourly wage starting at $21/hour - Online learning management portal available for continuous development - A welcome package, Personal Protective Equipment, and basic hand tools will be provided - Extended health insurance - medical and dental - Employee Family Assistance Program, Paid Time Off, and vacation time - Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) matching - Overtime, night shift premium, out-of-town per diem opportunities - Team events throughout the year **Company Info**: Paladin Technologies is a premier North American complex systems integrator for building technology solutions, including IP security, alarms & monitoring, audio visual, low-voltage infrastructure, and networking.
