**Join Our Team: Full-Time Educator Wanted at Calgary Downtown Daycare**
Calgary Downtown Daycare is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Educator Level 2, who’s ready to inspire young minds. This opportunity allows you to nurture children’s development while playing a key part in their day-to-day activities.

We’re a locally owned and operated childcare center located in the heart of downtown Calgary. In this role, you’ll support children through engaging classroom experiences—making a positive impact both in the center and children’s growth.

**As an Educator, you’ll help create a vibrant and supportive environment where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.**

At Calgary Downtown Daycare, you’ll be a key part of helping children learn, grow, and thrive. In this role, you will:

- Actively supervise and engage children in fun, educational activities that support their physical, emotional, and cognitive development
- Use gentle guidance strategies like redirection, positive language, and reinforcement.
- Plan and lead age-appropriate experiences based on each child’s interests and developmental level
- Encourage problem-solving, creativity, and self-help skills through hands-on learning and child-directed play.
- Use observations to plan personalized activities and identify when extra support may be needed.
- Work with families and the team to review and update individual learning plans and recommend additional services when necessary.
- Work closely with fellow educators and families to support each child’s unique needs and learning journey
- Keep the environment safe, clean, and welcoming, following all licensing guidelines and our high standards of care

**Your Qualifications & Skills**
- A valid Early Childhood Educator Certification Level 2
- Up-to-date First Aid Certification—or a willingness to obtain it promptly
- A clear Police Background Check, including Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs and actively engage in hands-on programming
- Familiarity with Alberta’s child care licensing standards and traffic safety regulations

**Experience**:

- Child Care: 2-3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Police Clearance (required)
- First Aid Certification (required)
- Early Childhood Education Certification (required)

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2025-09-01
