**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Under the supervision of the College Administrator, and with day-to-day guidance from the BGInS Program Administrator and the BGInS Program Director, the BGInS Program Assistant performs academic and administrative duties for the BGInS program and provides support to the BGInS Program Administrator and the Experiential Learning Administrator as well as acting as their backup when absent.

**Qualifications**:
**The incumbent must possess the following qualifications**:

- Sound knowledge of the BGInS undergraduate program as well as knowledge of university academic regulations and administrative structure.
- Strong office administration skills and organizational skills are required as well as an ability to plan and prioritize workload.
- Accuracy and attention to detail is essential and responsible and timely performance is imperative.
- Initiative and good judgment are required.
- Must be skilled in using social media. Communicating with students, alumni, and others is increasingly focused on these tools and the incumbent must be proficient and able to learn and adapt to new tools as necessary.
- Strong interpersonal skills and tact are required in this diverse environment.
- Ability to work as a team member and assist where necessary in times of higher work volumes, absences or emergencies.
- Strong communication skills (written and oral) are required.
- Ability to handle confidential information.

**Education and Experience**:
**The above is normally acquired through the completion of**:

- Three-year university degree
- Three to four years of academic administrative experience at a University
