**Journeyperson & Apprentice Masons**

We are looking at adding key masons to our crew. The pay rate will be determined on an individual basis, based on industry experience and skill set.

**Responsibilities**:

- Must be able to layout foundations and patterns using measuring tools
- Verify the vertical and horizontal elevation of a structure
- Mix specific amounts of sand, cement, lime, and water for mortar or refractory mixtures
- Lift, move and work with heavy tools and materials such as cement bags, CMU blocks, bricks and stones
- Ability to lay bricks, blocks and stones efficiently
- Train, mentor and promote a healthy and safe work culture
- Lead, help and direct apprentice labourers
- Coordinate activities to be accomplished during the week. Work with a crew throughout the week to ensure successful completion
- Read blueprints, shoot elevations, and provide layouts
- Ability to work in diverse settings to produce steady and functional products

**Suitable Backgrounds**

You must have a minimum of 5 years experience in fields such as the following:

- Masonry foreman
- Skilled masonry labourer
- Skilled block and bricklayer
- Knowledge and experience in stone cladding
- knowledge of stone restoration (asset)

- Assist the foreman in training a team of skilled labourers and masons

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $24.70-$43.70 per hour
