Job Summary

Reporting to the Food Service Manager, the Food Service Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service within Brooklyn Street Chicken located within our gas station/ convenience store Mels Enterprise. This role involves accurately taking and preparing customer orders, processing payments, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, stocking supplies, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the work area. The position requires shift work, including evenings and weekends, and a commitment to upholding both company policies and franchise standards to ensure a consistent and positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Answer questions about menu items and promotions.
- Accurately take customer orders using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to safety and quality standards.
- Package take-out orders neatly and correctly.
- Maintain cleanliness of all service areas, including counters, machines, floors, and restrooms.
- Stock and replenish supplies such as cups, lids, condiments, utensils, and food items.
- Dispose of garbage and recycling appropriately.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including securing the premises.
- Communicate effectively with team members and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Refer customer concerns or complaints to management.
- Support the growth and smooth operation of the location as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system accurately.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
