Laughing Whale Coffee Roasters is an artisan coffee roastery located in Lunenburg. We operate 2 very busy farmers' markets in downtown Halifax among other ventures.

**Summary**

As **Team Lead at our Farmers' Market**you will work as a barista alongside other team members, as well as overseeing and managing our kiosk so that it operates smoothly and efficiently for customers and staff alike.

**Responsibilities - *Saturdays (**_**and sometimes Sunday**_**) only**
- Working as a barista to prepare excellent coffee drinks and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Oversee operations to ensure staff and customer needs are being taken care of properly and coffee service is being provided efficiently and with care.
- Train new employees on product knowledge, customer service standards, and operational procedures.
- Encourage a positive work environment that fosters good communication and a supportive team approach.

**Requirements**:

- **Experienced barista with café management experience is an absolute requirement.**:

- The ability to lead by example and inspire others to be their best.
- Able to problem solve and find solutions.
- Experience working in a very busy cafe environment.
- Enjoy working within a team and meeting new customers.
- Passion for coffee and an interest in learning more.
- Able to work on Saturdays (year round) and Sundays (infrequently).
