Marel is a family owned and operated business based in Concord, that specializes in metal stud, insulation, drywall, acoustics and textured finishes. We service all sectors of the construction industry including residential (Low-Rise & High-Rise), commercial, institutional and industrial throughout the GTA, Ontario and across Canada for over 70 years. We currently have an opening for a hardworking, multi-tasking individual with a positive and professional attitude to join our team as an **Accounting Clerk **for a 16-month contract.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Processes month end invoicing and follows up on outstanding issues with vendors and customers
- Applies customer payments to outstanding Accounts Receivable invoices and reconciles accounts
- Contacts customers on collections of past due invoices Logs and tracks all contract payments and service invoices
- Requests and collects Purchase Orders (POs) for repair service work
- Performs the service department function during absences such as scheduling service work which includes interacting with customers, workers and homeowners
- Provides reception relief as required
- Assists with ad hoc projects as required

Skills and qualifications required:

- Post-secondary education in a discipline pertinent to the job functions such as accounting or finance or business administration, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Experience in Accounts Receivable is preferable
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Strong communication skills to be able to communicate professionally and effectively with various departments within the company as well as outside parties - customers and homeowners
- An eye for detail and drive for accuracy
