The Receptionist performs a variety of confidential clerical and receptionist duties associated with the daily operation of an effective business. The Concierge will assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors and other staff members. As the first point of contact to the public friendliness, positive attitude and a team approach is key

The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

- Answers telephone and greets visitors. Responds to routine inquiries in person and by phone, relaying calls and messages to the appropriate personnel
- Regular interaction with residents answering their questions, redirecting, responding to their requests
- Conducts a daily census of residents at meal time
- Responds to resident or family member concerns and ensures appropriate action is taken within decision-making authority and/or brings to the attention of the Department Manager or Executive Director
- Participates as a member of the work team and provides support to other team members and departments
- Assists in the daily operations of the residence by doing the following tasks:

- Help in the dining room by providing coffee and tea service and clearing dishes at lunch and dinner seatings, if only required occasionally
- Other tasks as assigned
- Previous experience working in a similar position required (including a working knowledge of office procedures)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment;
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a working knowledge of Excel and Word
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Combination of sitting, walking, standing throughout the shift

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.30 per hour

Schedule:

- Evening shift
