**Summary**:
DMC is currently looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our team based in our Sudbury, ON office. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning preventive maintenance schedules as well as corrective maintenance tasks for DMC’s site equipment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for planning and scheduling all preventative maintenance site deliverables. This includes local rebuilds of used components and sourcing local parts where possible
- Manage the critical spares for other major equipment i.e.
- Work with purchasing/warehousing to set up correct maintenance consumables
- Liaise with vendors and equipment providers on maintenance and system improvements
- Ensure the preventive/predictive maintenance program is updated to reflect current maintenance requirements and incorporate learning’s from historical practices
- Identify safety, communication and permit requirements for the planned outage tasks. This includes risk assessments and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
- Review information from oil sample analysis, component operating hour data, mechanics, reports, operating reports, OEM suppliers component supply contracts and recommend improvements
- Ensure warranty work is claimed and issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Assist in invoice reviews and payment approvals
- Support project activities within the mine maintenance group
- Provide information for weekly and monthly reporting requirements
- Perform post analysis reviews of major maintenance activities conducted during outages and produce an after action report highlighting improvement opportunities
- Work site teams to perform and document failure analysis of major components
- Compile maintenance performance KPI’s

**Qualifications**:

- Trades certification (preferably mechanical), or technical diploma
- Experience using D365 or SAP
- Use of Microsoft office suite
- Gathering and interpreting key performance indicators (KPIs)
- 2+ years’ experience in maintenance planning.

**Technical Competencies**:

- Maintenance Technician/Technologist, Certified tradesman, or a combination of education (graduate of college Maintenance Program) and work experiences.
- Computer literate with specific knowledge of Excel, Word, Access, and MS Project.
- 5 years of underground or open pit mining equipment maintenance planning related experience.
- Combination of 10 years’ experience in the mechanical/electrical discipline an asset.
- Knowledge of mobile, electrical, & stationary equipment including shafts and hoists.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in maintenance planning using computerized maintenance software.
- Cost and Budgeting skills
- Must have good organizational skills, problem solving ability and familiarity with maintenance terminology.
- Experience in predictive maintenance utilizing oil analysis, vibration analysis, & ND testing.
- Project management skills an asset
