The position entails, but is not limited to the following: - Maintain personal knowledge and skills, in accordance with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics EMR Clinical Practice Protocols, to deliver optimum patient care. - Safely operate MHS - West vehicles in accordance with MHS - West Health and Safety Manual, Operational Guidelines, and all provincial and federal regulations. - Stocks and maintains vehicles in a state of readiness at all times. - Work in hazardous environments to ensure the safety and stabilization of the patient. - Work with outside agencies as a team in a coordinated effort on behalf of the patient. - Document all patient care, assessments, and skills, within the patient care report in a timely fashion. - Punctual and ready to respond at the start of their shift. - Act in a professional manner and handle conflict situations with good judgment. - Follow the MHS - West chain of command. - Create and maintain fully completed Electric Patient Care Reports. (ePCRs) - Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with all provincial and federal regulations. (HIPA) - Report all incidents and complete written incident report forms to Operations Manager or designate. - Must be a registered EMR with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics or willing to obtain. - Must submit with resume a copy (front and back) of a valid Saskatchewan Class 4 Driver's License. (or equivalent) - Must submit with resume a current CPR certification. - Must submit with resume a current (within last 60 days) valid and clean criminal record check along with a vulnerable sector check. - Must submit with resume a current (within last 30 days) driver’s abstract. - Must demonstrate the ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and possess strong interpersonal skills. - Must be able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record. - Must have a high regard for confidentiality. - Must have excellent work habits and exhibit professionalism.
