ABOUT THE ROLE
SOCAN is seeking a Repertoire Administrator who will join the Repertoire Team, responsible for facilitating the on-boarding and maintenance of catalogues for new and existing SOCAN Reproduction Rights (RR) clients. This will include maintaining repertoire, clean-up of catalogues, processing publishing agreements, and handling agreement schedules. You will liaise with fellow colleagues to ensure that RR distributions are made in a timely and accurate manner. As our catalogues are the main resource for our entire business, your attention to detail and comprehension of copyright and rights management is an essential part of this role.

WHAT YOU’LL DO / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the on-boarding of new SOCAN RR client catalogues
- Research and process domestic and foreign works and participants
- Work with Team Lead and other Reproduction Rights team members to ensure that SOCAN RR distributions are made in a timely and accurate manner
- Handle works and catalogues in conflict and contact appropriate parties to resolve issues
- Research & maintain publishing agreements (both foreign/domestic)
- Respond to inquiries from our Members and Foreign Societies (where necessary)
- Other duties as required.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING / QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Experience
- Knowledge or experience in the music industry/copyright
- Comprehension of Reproduction Rights is an asset
- Comprehension of Performing Rights is an asset
- Experience working with large data sets
- Experience with Microsoft Office Tools

Education
- Post-Secondary education

Skillset
- Fluent in both French and English
- Keen interest in research and excellent communication skills
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Accuracy and detail oriented
- Ability to adapt and work with different systems and databases
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to creating a positive team dynamic
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent client service
