Experienced Truss Builder - **Smithville**

**Day Shift**:Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm

**Afternoon Shift**:Monday - Thursday, 3pm - 1am (4 shifts per week, 10 hours each)

**Major Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Knowledge and previous experience in Truss manufacturing.
- Experienced in handling lumber and able to effectively check for quality and defects.
- Ensures the product is manufactured to precise specifications.
- Experienced in reading blueprints and interpreting them for accurate production of trusses.
- Familiar with safety and cleaning protocols on production lines, machinery, and equipment.
- Effectively completes machinery and equipment inspections.
- Ensure all activities are recorded and logs are up to date through production software.
- Uses various hand tools to perform tasks, such as measuring tapes, fastening devices, hammers, etc.

**Forklift Operation**:

- Completes circle checks and inspections.
- Effectively moves and organizes work-in-progress material based on production schedule.
- Able to effectively perform advanced forklift tasks in order to offload truss stacker and/or vendor trucks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accurately read truss prints
- Lifting and handling materials
- Quality control
- Experience in Truss Production in one or more of the following areas: Truss Assembly, Linear Saw Operation, Lumber Picking, Plate Picking, Saw Tailor, Component Saw Sawyer, Stacker

**Requirements**:

- Experience in the construction industry
- Experience using construction related tools
- Able to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum lift requirements of 66 lbs
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
