Job description:
**Job Location** - Northern Bruce Peninsula
The Parking Enforcement Officer will conduct foot patrols of assigned areas ensuring compliance with the municipality’s parking by-laws as they relate to the parking of vehicles.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Conduct patrols throughout the municipality to assess parking and enforce parking by-law infractions proactively
- Provide enforcement response and issue associated parking penalty notices
- Engage in awareness and education discussions with the public to achieve compliance with parking regulations and deter parking infractions
- Report parking signage issues for inspection review and resolution
- Assist By-Law Enforcement Officers with investigations and gathering evidence
This position would be great for those currently in, or just graduated from Community Justice or Police Foundations programs, giving you experience in building community connections, de-escalation tactics, issuing Provincial Offence Notices, learning to deal with other authorities such as Ontario Provincial Police, Parks Canada and other Bylaw officers.
**Education and Experience**
- Diploma in Police Foundations or related discipline is an **asset**but not necessary
- Must be 18 years of age
- Clean criminal background check
- Must be legal to work in Canada
- Have G2/G class drivers license
- Own or have access to vehicle
- Strong customer service skills
- Proficient in English communication
**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Additional pay:
- Overtime pay

- French not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
Expected start date: 2025-05-15
