Your Opportunity:
An opportunity to work as a Service Worker within Cancer Care Alberta. This position works at Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Center in a state-of-the-art Cancer center. The incumbent of this position is responsible for performing a range of support services such as cleaning, ordering and stocking of supplies, equipment inventory, preventative maintenance and the general maintenance of a tidy and safe environment for patients, families and staff. You will work as a collaborative team member in the Systemic Treatment Unit, Day Medicine & Acute Assessment Unit. The position of a Service Worker requires the ability to tolerate constant walking, standing, kneeling, bending, reaching and sustained posture within a fast-paced unit requiring lifting, pushing, pulling of objects greater than 30 lbs.
Description:
As a Service Worker II, you will be responsible for readying supplies, and cleaning/disinfecting instruments and specialty equipment for immediate use/reuse by healthcare staff. You will distribute and replenish patient care supplies, perform quality control tests on equipment and record maintenance data. You may also transport patients (clients/residents), equipment, lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required. In addition, you will ensure that patient care areas and other assigned areas are accurately stocked and that specialty equipment required by the healthcare staff is available.

Well-developed time management skills. Basic computer skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
Recent experience in an acute care or ambulatory care Oncology setting.
