Ambassador at Edmonton

**Description**:
The Lot Ambassador position reports to the Parking Supervisor and the Operations Manager. The Ambassador will perform a variety of tasks to assist in overseeing all customer service-related situations, administrative duties, and operational functions for a high-profile parking facility. To ensure a smooth operation of the parking facility, the Ambassador will be required to facilitate transient parking, ensure all operational policies and procedures are adhered to, build and maintain positive client and customer relationships, scheduling service for parking equipment, minor servicing of equipment, and meeting cleanliness and safety standards at all times with the goal in mind to exceed customer/client expectations.

**Physical Demands**:

- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time up to 8 hours
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Use of a POS. Requires tactile range of motion
- Able to stand, walk, sit, bend, crouch, reaching, and climb stairs

**Work Environment**:

- Primarily inside. There could be moments that require some outside duties especially during an event.

Please note that some lots may qualify for a shift premium. The position is primarily Monday-Friday between 6:00am-7:00pm. There will be some shifts available on evenings and weekends during major events such as hockey games and concerts.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greeting and departing guests in a friendly and courteous manner. The high-level of service expected would be comparable to a hotel concierge.
- Act as traffic controller to direct incoming guests to available parking spaces
- Frequently perform daily patrols via facility walkthroughs checking on lot capacity, ensuring parking equipment is operational, and assisting customers.
- Respond and assist with customer requests and/or issues in a timely fashion, take initiative, and follow up on requests and issues to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Take payments using a wireless Point of Sale terminal when necessary.
- Responsible for overseeing the location validation program and being able to program/print different types of validations, testing to ensure the validation is correct
- Ensuring the lot has proper levels of supplies required for the shift including the ticket gates and the POF (Pay on Foot) machines.
- Analyze messages/alerts from the Parking System Software. Updating the vehicle count system based on parkade vacancy and ensuring that tenants are guaranteed space.
- Report any suspicious activity to facility security. Report customers who violate parking lot procedures to the Parking Supervisor and the Operations Manager.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed; aid guests who have forgotten where they parked.
- Responsible for eliminating factors that would cause equipment malfunctions or deficiencies.
- Assist in the maintenance and scheduling the repair of parking equipment as well as any general maintenance tasks as directed by the facility, Parking Supervisor, and/or Operations Manager
- Use respectful communication to assist guests with their questions, problems, and concerns, relay information to Operations Manager and Parking Supervisor as necessary.
- Immediately report any accidents, incidents or safety concerns to the Operations Manager and Parking Supervisor
- Communicate professionally and clearly at all times with guests, clients, and teammates.
- Other duties as assigned by the Parking Supervisor and/or operations Manager.

**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**:

- At least 18 years of age
- Previous high-level customer service experience
- Solid working knowledge of Google Suite
- Comfortable with devices running both Android and Apple Operating Systems.
- Cashier experience preferred
- Excellent customer service
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Enjoys working independently
- Understanding of hazards and ability to follow safe working practices, policies, and procedures.
- Valid driver's license is an asset.
