**Purpose**:
York is home to 25 Organized Research Units (ORUs), which have a strong history of collaborative, innovative and interdisciplinary research. These ORUs provide a home for research development beyond the traditional academic units. Steeped in York's tradition of collegial interdisciplinarity, ORUs serve as synergistic hubs for participatory research programs that bring together expertise from across disciplines.The LaMarsh Centre for Child and Youth Research is a collaborative group of faculty and students that support community-engaged interdisciplinary research in health, education, relationships and development of infants, children, adolescents, emerging adults and families everywhere.Reporting to the Research Operations Manager and under the functional direction of the Centre Director, LaMarsh Centre for Child and Youth Research, the Centre Coordinator is responsible for the overall administration and coordination of the day-to-day operational activities of the Centre, for supporting the Centre Director and the Centre's research and community outreach activities. The Centre Coordinator is also responsible for providing administrative support to affiliates and research projects within the Centre.

**Education**:
College diploma in business administration or related field including general knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles or an equivalent of 2 years recent experience (defined as within the last five years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.

**Experience**:
Minimum two (2) years' recent related experience (within the last 5 years), preferably in a university or research environment. Working knowledge of university policies and procedures related to research and finance including eReports, experience monitoring and reconciling budgets. Administration experience planning meetings and organizing conferences and events, committee support and minute taking.

Excellent organizational skills including setting priorities and working effectively under pressure of high volume and constant interruptions. setting priorities and meeting deadlines
Demonstrated event planning experienceTechnical Skills Required:
Intermediate word-processing (MS Word), including formatting technical word-processing skills
Familiarity with commonly used videoconferencing and scheduling tools (e.g., Zoom/Teams/Doodle) and social media (e.g., Twitter/ResearchGate)
Familiarity with graphic and textual layout and design software (Photoshop, Adobe InDesign or equivalent).
Familiarity with website design and development. ability to maintain and update websitesOther:
Must be punctual and reliable.
