TWD is currently seeking an **E**&I Specialist** to support our client based in **Calgary** or Edmonton**, Alberta **for a contract position

**Responsibilities**:

- Generating Electrical and Instrumentation type construction work package and specifications.
- Demonstrating strong fundamental knowledge of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering codes and standards.
- Knowledge of Hazardous Area classification and markings.
- Electrical equipment sizing, specification, and selection (pressure/temperature/flow/level indications, control valves).
- Single line Diagrams, wiring diagrams.
- Coordinating details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplines.
- Preparing and / or supervising engineering reports, studies, calculations and checks drawings as required.
- Project scoping at client sites.
- Ensure all engineering solutions can be implemented safely and will perform in a safe manner.
- Support business development as part of the seller doer program.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Engineering (or related discipline).
- Registered Professional Engineer in Alberta (APEGA)
- 5 years plus experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience creating electrical and instrumentation scopes of work and construction work packages, including detailed drawings and specs.
- Shows initiative and drives cost effective and timely results.
- Effective communication skills, and have the ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry an asset, preferably in an EPCM or Owner/Operator environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel is an asset).
- SAP.
- AutoCAD.
- Demonstrate exceptional critical thinking skills with an ability to identify and anticipate potential risks.
