**Job Description**:
The Entry to School (ETS) service will aim to support families with children ages 3 to 5 who are entering school for the first time. Children enrolled in ETS will receive six-months of group programming focusing on building skills prior to their entry to school followed by six-months of transition supports and individualized consultation. As an ETS service provider, Kinark will deliver ETS as part of the York Simcoe Autism Network (YSAN). **Primary location for this role is within York region.**
**Job Summary**:
The ASD Consultant will be responsible for providing individualized consultation, and group-based programming under the supervision of a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA). In this position you will work with a multidisciplinary team to support students entering school for the first time. The successful incumbent will be assigned to work within York region.
You may be scheduled to work evenings, weekends, split shifts, or shorter shifts of less than 7 hours per day and up to 35 hours per week. You will be required to work out of other Kinark sites from time to time based on operational needs. As well, you may be assigned to work in different programs and services within the Autism division of Kinark and your primary work location may be reassigned within a 50 kilometer radius based on operational needs.
**This is a temporary position with a contract length of 1 year.**
**Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to)**:
- Deliver school readiness curriculum in group-based settings
- Complete behavioural assessments
- Participate in treatment planning, program and report writing
- Provide expert Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) clinical and consultative support to school teams and families
- Develop effective evidence-based practices for students with ASD in the educational environment
- Conduct individualized parent and mediator coaching
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team to meet program outcomes
- Develop resource materials and facilitate training opportunities for educators and caregivers
- Support the delivery of OAP services
**Qualifications**:
- Master's degree in Psychology or Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)**:
- Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) or Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification is considered an asset
- Minimum three years experience in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis and ASD**:
- Experience with school-based transitions and the delivery of consultation-based services will be considered a strong asset
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical
- Some evening / weekend work may be required
