PASQAL is a major player in the global quantum race. We are a full stack company and the leading manufacturer of neutral-atom quantum computers. Our offerings include quantum computing hardware, cloud access, and software solutions to sectors related to energy, mobility, healthcare, high-tech, aerospace and finance. PASQAL is opening a technical center in Canada which will provide quantum computing hardware capabilities and software services for North America. We are setting up a team of passionate people dedicated to promoting PASQAL's technology and educating the market on the power of neutral-atom quantum computing.

As an Assistant Controller reporting to the CEO of Canada and with a dotted line to Head Office finance, you will play a crucial role in providing high-level support for the company's growing accounting and financial activities. With support from our head office Finance teams, you will be responsible for conducting all accounting operations including full general accounting cycle, payroll and expenses, benefits, taxes, month-end closing and balancing, budget monitoring and audit-readiness. You will support continuous process improvement, financial performance and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

This is a full-time and hybrid role, based in Sherbrooke (Qubec, Canada) with premises located in _Espace Quantique 1_, at the heart of a brand-new and exciting technology hub.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following qualifications:
**Requirements**:

- 2+ years general accounting experience in a Canada based finance department as an assistant controller, with a broad spectrum of accounting tasks
- Strong experience with Excel and Microsoft Office, “tech savvy”
- Excellent math and analytical skills-Experience (direct or in a supporting role) preparing and monitoring budgets
- Attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Bilingual French / English highly preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, wearing many hats
- Self-Starter, able to work with little supervision. Team player

**Nice to have**:

- CPA Certification
- Experience with an ERP (at implementation or later)
- Experience developing and documenting standard operating procedures for book close, annual audits, and overall internal financial controls. Experience working in a multi-national company
