**What does this role look like?**:
The CBE understands the future of work is flexible. In this role, you are eligible to participate in a flexible work program that allows you to work remotely for up to three days a week. A minimum of two days must be in the office. At certain times, you maybe be required to work in the office more then 2 days per week based on operational requirements.

**What will you do?**:
**Major Responsibilities**

**Manages all staff, initiatives, and projects related to the International Student Program in order to meet operational objectives efficiently**:

- Leads a diverse team with a wide scope of duties towards success within a highly competitive international education environment
- Determines priorities and defines scope of activities and initiatives within the ISP
- Plans and facilitates special projects, assignments, operational meetings, and special events as required (eg: international delegations)
- Develops strategic business plan, including marketing and recruitment strategy, to improve performance and output of service unit
- Provides leadership through the supervision, investigation, and resolution of day to day operational and employee matters to ensure operational efficiency of the international student program
- Provide leadership and support to Global Learning employees to ensure positive professional growth
- Ensure adequate material and employee resources are retained and assigned within the department
- Recruit, conduct employee performance evaluations, and initiate disciplinary and/or corrective actions including termination of employment when necessary
- Develop and implement new protocols and procedures in order to provide excellent client service to all interest holders
- Represent the CBE at international marketing and recruitment events as required
- Ensures that international students in the CBE are appropriately placed and monitored
- Remain current and informed regarding CBE programs, school capacity, and program availability to properly advise staff, applicants, agents, and other interest holders
- Manages representative agreements and working relationships with external agencies recruiting international students to maintain a high standard of practice at all times
- Ensures interest holder compliance with program parameters through effective supervision of activities and services
- Ensures the ISP is compliant with Global Learning’s protocols and procedures, CBE Administrative Regulations and federal and provincial legislative requirements
- Continually monitors immigration laws to ensure that CBE is compliant with new emerging regulations and adjustments to current regulations and advises appropriate interest holders when necessary
- Oversees the budget and all financial procedures
- Researches and reports trends and statistics with regards to ISP and makes recommendations in alignment with those
- Establish and maintain policies and procedures to support program objectives
- Formulate and implement solutions to improve existing policies and documentation
- Inform the Director, in collaboration with System Assistant Principal when this position is in effect, of policies or procedures that should be reviewed
- Advises the Director regarding international student health insurance options and procedures
- Works closely with other CBE departments, schools, and personnel who work directly with international students to ensure articulation, consistency, and understanding

**What are we looking for?**:
**Qualifications**

Education and Experience
- Post-secondary degree in education, business management, social sciences, communications or other relevant field of study. Working towards the completion of a Masters degree preferred.
- Five to seven years of relevant experience in a leadership role and experience in an international education setting is required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies
- Demonstrates knowledge of International Education, Business Management and public service
- Knowledge of Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (or all relevant laws) requirements
- Understanding of educational requirements regarding international student exchange policies
- Understanding of educational programs offered by the CBE
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills that provide sound decision making and social-emotional support
