Furniture Sales Associate
Penwood Furniture is a family run business that takes pride in providing quality, locally made and handcrafted furniture to clients and exceeding their expectations from point of sale to delivery day. The job applicant must take pride in providing exceptional customer service. We have been in business for 30+ years, and have opened our fourth location in Collingwood.
Job Requirements:
HOURS
Our schedule is 2-3 days per week in 8-hour shifts including potential weekend shifts.
COMPENSATION
The starting pay structure is $25 / hour. We will switch to an hourly rate - plus commission (based on delivered sales) structure.
ROLE
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Minimum 1 years sales or customer service experience preferably in a home furniture retail environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, and a keen interest in interior decoration is a must.
- Certified Interior Decorator would be considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills in person, and written/online.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer/keyboarding/online skills.
- Must have ability to work independently, and be goal oriented to achieve sales targets.
- Highly responsive to other team members, and clients
- Education in a field related to design/decoration considered an asset.
