As an intern in this role, you will gain hands-on experience working closely with department leads and team members to optimize data processes, create impactful dashboards, and contribute to strategic decision-making across various departments, including safety, operations, and finance. This internship will provide you with valuable skills and knowledge in data analytics and strategy consulting within the transportation industry.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with department leads and cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, identify areas for improvement, and streamline data processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support data-driven decision-making for departmental heads and senior management.
- Utilize SQL to write queries and extract data from various databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Leverage Looker Studio to design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations for different departments, including safety, operations, and finance, enabling stakeholders to easily access and analyze relevant data.
- Support data quality assessments by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data, and participate in data cleansing and data governance activities.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives by providing data analysis and insights to support departmental goals, such as cost optimization, performance improvement, and risk mitigation.
