**Position Overview**
As the **Corporate Tax Manager (West)**, you will lead a dedicated team of five, championing the accuracy of financial statements and corporate tax returns. Your role will center on empowering your team to excel, engaging effectively with tax advisors, and orchestrating tasks to deliver exceptional client experiences. In collaboration with the East Corporate Tax Manager and various branch teams, you’ll foster a culture of reliability and service excellence that resonates across the organization.

**Key Responsibilities**
- ** Talent Development & Team Growth**: Nurture talent within the West Corporate Tax Team with a focus on:
- Driving continuous improvement in financial statement and corporate tax return preparation.
- ** Data-Driven Decision Making**: Utilize data to monitor corporate tax metrics, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with other departments to resolve them.
- ** Seasonal Focus & Adaptability**: Lead the team through high-paced periods (January to June), demonstrating exceptional focus and time management.

**What You Will Bring**
- ** Relevant Experience**: Proven experience preparing financial statements and corporate tax returns for farms and small business clients.
- ** Education & Knowledge**: A post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting, tax, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- ** Technical Skills**: Proficiency in Taxprep or similar tax preparation software and familiarity with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) standards.
- ** Detail Orientation & Quality Focus**: Meticulous attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high product and service quality standards.
- ** Client Relationship Management**: Ability to proactively communicate and build trusted relationships with clients and branch teams.
- ** Leadership Skills**: Strong verbal and written communication, with a professional demeanor that establishes rapport and trust; prior experience leading a tax or accounting team is an asset.
