- We’re looking for like-minded individuals to join our team.
- This is a Full-time, Hourly position.
**About The Production Kitter**:
Responsible for ensuring that assemblers have the supplies (including but not limited to material, tools, and instructions) they need on a consistent basis to stay focused on manufacturing elevator fixtures, including fixture components.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Anticipate and deliver Car Operating Panels (COPs) corresponding to orders to assembly areas as required.
- Efficiently move completed kits from engraving area to assembly area as needed while minimizing rework.
- Report any quality issues, damaged or defective materials.
- Identify non-conformances.
- Complete shop records accurately.
- Recommend changes to the routing & kitting practices for efficiency purposes.
- Work closely with team leaders, team members, Production Control and Continuous Improvement.
- Handle medium-to-heavy materials intermittently.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Able to lift up to 15lbs; may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%.
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area.
**Attributes, Skills and Knowledge**:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- 1 - 2 years of experience in material handling
- At least 2 years of Manufacturing experience
- Self-starter/ self-directed working aptitude
- Demonstrated dexterity and ability to understand simple to complex assemblies
- A “do whatever it takes” attitude
- Ability to lift loads up to 50lbs (assisted as needed)
- Physical ability to move skids, boxes and other material
- Medium to highly detail-oriented
- Willingness to be trained to operate a forklift or crane, if applicable
**This is a day shift position based in Mississauga, ON: Monday to Thursday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm**
