**Job Description**:
**Brief Overview**

The CCM Junior Estimator Student will report to the Chief Estimator and be accountable for working with the broader estimating team in preparing and coordinating quantity take-offs. The Jr. Estimator will be responsible for preparing tender packages and get a thorough understanding of CCM’s tendering standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepares and coordinates quantity take-offs with supervision.
- Communicates with sub-trades and suppliers to ensure understanding of scope of work.
- Prepare sub-trade tender packages.
- Assist with the development of the estimate.
- Communicates with sub-trades for understanding of scope of work.
- Ability to check and verify one's own quantities using other sources.

**Qualifications**:
**Required**:

- Working towards a Post-secondary education Engineering/Construction diploma/degree
- Minimum of 1 - 3 years of industry experience
- Basic understanding of Standard Method of Measurement.
- Basic understanding of construction methodology, including development, contracting and consulting.
- Technology savvy - Exceptional working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Well established communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group of teams (subtrades, clients, inspectors, consultants, colleagues, engineers, etc.)
- Time Management, ability to prioritize & attention to detail
- Research abilities - general/pricing
- Blue-print reading
- Mathematically inclined

- Working towards OIQS an asset
- Basic trade/product knowledge
- Ability to work inside of a Large Dynamic Team. We want Team Players
