Customs Clearance Coordinator

**Position Overview**

As the Customs Clearance Coordinator, you will be playing a crucial role in facilitating a smooth passage of goods through the US/Canada borders by ensuring compliance with customs regulations.

This is a **remote position** with working hours from **8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST**, Monday through Friday, working 37.5 hours a week, reporting directly to the Canadian Release Operations Manager.

**Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Review documentation and prepare customs release entries for processing
- Communicate with customers to clear shipments, close entries, provide updates, and resolve paperwork issues and customs holds
- Handle and resolve difficult or challenging situations while maintaining first-class service to all internal and external customers
- Maintain strong knowledge of all ports across Canada and the USA
- Assign correct tariff classifications
- Assist in ensuring that all entries are released, classified, and billed accurately and in a timely manner
- Responsible for ensuring that Canadian and U.S. customs regulations are adhered to when completing import and export documents to facilitate the movement of cross-border shipments
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**
- Previous customs entry release experience
- Experience with ITMR4 is preferred
- Experience processing entries across different modes of transportation (highways, rail, air, ocean) is an asset
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation or Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) is an asset
- High work standards, high level of accuracy
- Ability to handle large volumes of work and meet tight deadlines

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Customs clearance: 1 year (required)
- ITMR4: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
