Family is important to us, this job does not have any overnights so you return home to family and loved ones every day - Very competitive wages - Extended health benefits including Medical and Dental coverage - Career Development **RESPONSIBILITIES**: - Drive routes picking up pre-consumer food waste from food manufacturing customers - Assist loading and unloading product for recycling - Maintain good customer relations by providing quality customer service - Maintain tools and equipment (transport units, tools, extensions, spill response kits, etc.) for cleanliness and safe operating standards and reporting of any damage in equipment - Perform daily trip inspections including completion of driver logs and other logs - Operate all equipment safely and efficiently **DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**: - Must have a BC Class 3 Driver’s License with a clean abstract (Class 1 Drivers License is a plus with a premium) - Experience in commercial truck driving or similar environment or industry - Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently - Willingness to haul across the border into Washington State (USA) - Strong knowledge of Greater Vancouver / Lower Mainland and surrounding neighborhood areas - Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills - Solid interpersonal skills for interaction with customers, suppliers, other team members - Forklift operation required from time to time.
