**Job Summary**:
**VIHA Qualifications**:

- A clean criminal record check
- A current/valid first aid certificate
- At least 19 years of age

**Ready Set Grow Qualifications**:

- Education: A Degree in Education/Child & Youth Care/Recreation Education or a License to Practice as an Early Childhood Educator (preferred)
- Experience: 2 years’ experience working with children in a licensed center.
- Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills to be able to covey messages to families, staff, and children effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Knowledge: An understanding of child development principles and VIHA licensing regulations.
- Diversity and Cultural Competency: Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and awareness with the ability to create programming that is inclusive of diverse needs.

**Duties**:

- Develop and implement activities and experiences that align with the needs, interests and abilities of the children in the program
- Follow childcare licensing regulations as well as the center's policies and procedures
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Maintain positivity and enthusiasm in your practice
- Ensure an inclusive and culturally sensitive environment for children, families, and team members
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress
- Maintain accurate records of each child's development and progress

Pay: $29.00-$31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
