**Job Summary**:
Currently we are seeking an experienced and independent Commercial Drywall Estimator to join the Maple Drywall team. The individual will report directly to the Owner/Director of the High-rise department. The Estimator is responsible for the preparation of quotes, project quantity take-offs, monitor progress, and liaise between builders, trades, suppliers and internal staff.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Filter all incoming tenders in an organized manner, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
- Takeoff, price, and produce quotation for commercial drywall projects based on tender package and projected material, labour, & subcontractor rates
- Obtain project specific quotes from suppliers (i.e. PC350, fire spray, spray foam, plywood, access panels, specialty ceilings, etc.)
- Partake in tender prequalification/scope review meetings with builders and clients
- Review all contracts, identify all contract inclusions and exclusions
- Prepare all pre-mobilization duties, including but not limited to: organizing start-up meetings, printing drawings and documents, thoroughly reviewing all scope of work and budgets with site foremen & supervisors, set up billing schedule, ordering shop drawings, and preparing material submittals
- Work directly with site foremen and supervisors throughout the project, assisting site staff with any questions or issues and verify that all budgets are met
- Attend site meetings, inspections, and routine visits to sites
- Ensure all extras, changes, & site conditions etc. are correctly identified and accounted for via extra to contract quote/change order/purchase order
- Review and approve weekly time cards, resolve any discrepancies with foremen and workers, and organize all data for entry by payroll administrator
- Review and update monthly progress billing and statutory declaration, made ready for invoicing by A/R department
- Review, and approve incoming invoices (i.e. subcontractors, engineering, waste bins, lifts & scaffolding, etc.), ready for payment by A/P department. Produce and update budgets accordingly
- Assist material order department for any specialty orders, ensuring that the correct material & quantities are ordered (or pre-ordered if applicable), from the correct vendors and rates
- Review and update estimated vs actual costs throughout the project. Refine, update, and improve pricing methods for future bids
- Prepare project closeout documents/warranties/publish substantial performance (if req.) for submittal
**Qualification Requirements**:
- Must be familiar with CCDC / CCA documents and supplementary items
- Degree in STEM or related construction field
- Valid G License and access to personal vehicle
- Computer proficiency with various software including OST, PlanSwift, WinBid, Plexxis ERP, and MS Office
- 3 - 5 years of prior Estimating experience in the construction field
**Preferred**:
- PMP / CCET / PQS / CEC or relevant designation
- PPE (boots, hard hat, vests, etc.)
- Certification in Supervision, Fall Protection, Traffic Control, Confined Space, and WHMIS
**Salary**: $39,535.62-$97,607.30 per year
