**Job Summary**:
The Extracts Technician will work within the Extraction Department and report to the Extraction Manager. The Extracts Technician will perform tasks such as distillation and dilution, prepping material, preventative maintenance, machine operation, documentation, and cleaning.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Prepare material for extraction-based activities.
- Operate large scale extraction/purification equipment using appropriate methods.
- Perform dilution or mixing activities.
- Sanitize and maintain processing equipment and machinery, tools, appliances and workspace.
- Diligently record and document processing, maintenance and sanitation.
- Maintain batch records in accordance with SOPs.
- Work in compliance of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Comply with Quality Assurance standard operating procedures, policies and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**:

- BSc in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or other relevant field.
- At least one year’s relevant experience.
- Experience operating high and low temperature, pressurized complex equipment, or experience in the Cannabis industry is an asset.
- Ability to safely perform physical and mental work including but not limited to: pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting to 25lbs
