Internal Communications, Manager

Position Summary
Reporting to the VP, People Operations, you will be responsible for strategizing, developing and executing internal employee communication plans to support Miovision’s strategic direction. This role is critical in enhancing the overall employee experience, inclusive of developing and assessing employee understanding of operations, corporate programs, policies, initiatives and improving employee engagement and retention.
Key Accountabilities
- Support employee communications for a variety of channels, including newsletters, presentations, intranet articles and announcements.
- Create compelling content and messages using story-telling to inform and engage employees about changes, progress and priorities of Miovision
- Create understanding, alignment and buy-in among Miovision employees for our business plan and strategy, and to help them understand how their work contributes.
- Consistently review communications projects for areas of improvement
- Provide informed advice and counsel to executive leadership on potential communications impacts of business decisions and how to best manage any issues.
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or English
- 5+ years of experience in a communications role
- Ability to work with and influence at all levels
- Excellent time-management, project-management and organizational skills to manage competing priorities.
- Experienced writer and editor capable of turning complex programs into easy-to-understand communications.
- Experienced advisor, with a track record of helping leaders and program owners deliver an effective message to employees.
